Jerry and the Grateful Dead made the front page of the Wall St Journal yesterday!! They were mentioned in an article about a person whose job it is to seek out artists who are owed $$$ on sales of their works - apparently there is a law in CA where if an artists work gets sold between to other parties the artist gets a percentage.

Carry on - and OH yeah that 12-15-71 is somethin' else

Interesting article. I'm surprised Debra hasn't already shaken this woman down for the $812.50

Huh? Two of Jerry's art pieces went for $16,250?

For just second i thought you said "I only buy and sell Daisy Fuentes". I was going to respond "My, how 1995 of you".
Unfortunately, I read it more carefully and have to now retract my intended reply. Damn.

I can afford to buy a cup of your hearty broth with my retirement mutual funds...I might have to chip in a quarter of my own principle, but together they should cover the cost.

I probably need it for soothing the pangs associated with the evaporation of early retirement fantasies.

Retirement fantasies? I have fantasies of still being gainfully employed this time next month. If I couldn't make my own soup I'd be getting in line ...

Ah--there you go: just what I need to feel better! Perhaps you should consider the emerging market of former investors that can now only consider reading books aimed at the first grade level (which is a necessity as their angst has crippled all powers of critical thinking...hmmm, I suppose for the manager of my retirement account that was just above nursery school grade to begin with).

For the love of cod, jg, why do you always find something to carp about? You really need to mullet over and consider if this is the plaice for comments like that.
